These are basic rules, that you must follow.

Rules are the main part of Wikis

You can add content to this wiki, but you must follow rules, which were made by community admins.

What you can do
  1. Edit, create a new page
  2. Copy and disturb any content
    1. You can do that also in commercial form, but you mustn't
      1. break Minecraft's EULA
      2. break OptiFine's EULA
      3. break Fandom's Terms Of Use
    2. You must link to page, where it was used,
      1. If you link image, please NOT the FILE DIRECTORY (eg. https://optifine-mod.fandom.com/wiki/File:Filename.png), because anonymous users are automatically redirected to the first page, where the file was used. The file path should start with this web url: <code>https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/optifine-mod/images/...</code>
    3. You don't need to link to the user, who made this image, due problem mentioned in point 2.2
  3. You can login/register, but you don't need to do so. We also accept contributions from unregistered users.
  4. Share this content, unless you mark "us" - "OptiFine Wiki contributors" as author's of this, even modified text (CC-BY-SA license)
What you can't do
  1. Advertisement including, but not limited to:
    1. Server advertisement
    2. YouTube channel advertisement (This will result in an instant ban)
    3. Fake OptiFine advertisement (This may result in wiki block, followed by a global block)
  2. Vandalism
    1. This includes deleting pages content, adding misinformation's, spamming pages, etc.
  3. You aren't allowed to upload any images, that aren't about OptiFine nor about Minecraft
    1. The only exception are files, that are needed to maintain wiki.
    2. Including servers (in point 1), gameplay (+ Let's Play's), minigames, or non-OptiFine features (mods - Forge, The Ather...)
    3. You can add images if they are under CC-BY-SA unless OptiFine specific feature.
  4. Create wikis, which uses the same content as this wiki
    1. This means, you can use this content only on blogs, articles, reports, ...
    2. Only exceptions are usage by Wikimedia Foundation (including all its projects) and Gamepedia.
